Gardere’s Gray Appointed Editor-In-Chief Of The Houston Lawyer
John Gray
Mr. Gray was one of the Gardere Wynne Sewell lawyers recognized in December 2009 by the Burton Awards, a non-profit program run in association with the Library of Congress, when Gardere was named as one of the top 20 law firms for legal writing.
“I’m looking forward to being the Editor-in-Chief of The Houston Lawyer, a publication I enjoy reading that offers a variety of information about lawyers and for lawyers,” says Mr. Gray. “It’s an honor and a great opportunity to serve my fellow lawyers in the Houston Bar Association.”
Mr. Gray has authored/co-authored more than 40 articles for a variety of publications, including The Bureau of National Affairs, The Houston Lawyer, Washington Legal Foundation, Houston Business Journal, Texas Lawyer, Mealey's Legal News Litigation Reports and the Environmental Forensics Journal.

Mr. Gray is a partner in the Environmental Law Practice of Gardere's Houston office, where he has taken advantage of his training and experience as a licensed professional engineer to concentrate his practice on the emerging area of climate change advocacy in addition to environmental litigation and counseling for a variety of companies in the chemical, shipping, natural resources, real estate development, insurance, energy and petroleum industries.
