Top Ranking University AUEB Greece and Shridhar University Rajasthan ink MoU

Shridhar University established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956 incorporated by Government of Rajasthan vide Ordinance No. 3 of 2009 and the same ratified by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly vide Act No. 4 of 2010 as The SHRIDHAR UNIVERSITY ACT BIGODNA, JHUNJHUNU is located on the Pilani - Chirawa State Highway No. 13 towards Jaipur in the famed Shekhawati region widely known as the world's largest open art gallery. Spread over 60 acres area, the Shridhar University master plan with state of the art infra structure envisages 11 Schools to provide the best environment for the pursuit of higher education offering Certificates, Diplomas, Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral programmes in various diverse disciplines including emerging areas to prepare the enrolled students for taking up leadership in the larger task of nation higher education building for the challenges of increasingly globalized world.

The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) is one among the top ranking academic institution of Greece in the areas of Economics and Business Administration, and one of the finest ones in Europe. It is widely known for its strong research orientation, its excellent faculty and its top students. During a life-span of more than eight decades AUEB has been developing effective academic programs that have shaped generations of managers and leaders, and has influenced the development of knowledge in economics and management internationally. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Shridhar University and AUEB is signed with the objective of fostering collaboration between the two institutions to promote academic and research interactions as well as scientific cooperation. The two institutions have agreed to explore and implement mutually rewarding viable initiatives focused on, among others, areas of academic cooperation which include: Student exchange for study, research, or work internships; Collaborative research; Co-sponsorship of academic projects, and conferences; Sharing of scientific information on areas of mutual interest; Development of special academic programs such as International Entrepreneurship as well as Other academic collaboration including curriculum and faculty exchange.

A Coordination Committee consisting of Chairperson (Chancellor) Shridhar University as Convener and the Rector of AUEB as Co-convener and two nominees each from Shridhar University and AUEB would coordinate and monitor the academic and research programmes and all related operational matters within the framework of the academic regulations and the objectives outlined by both the institutions. This MoU shall come into effect upon signature of both the parties on the date set forth below and will remain in force for a period of Five (5) years.

On behalf of Shridhar University Mr Vijay Pal Yadav and on behalf of Athens University of Economics and Business, Prof Gregory Prastacos signed the MoU in a colourful function on 07 May 2010.
