Christopher Straker, executive chef at Eggplant the Restaurant, takes his modern French and Caribbean cuisine to the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo, November 23-26

Toronto, ON – November 22, 2006 – Eggplant the Restaurant tempts palates daily on King Street East with masterful culinary creations from executive chef Christopher Straker. From Thursday, November 23 until Sunday, November 26, you can sample some of Eggplant the Restaurant’s taste sensations at the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo at the south building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

“It is a joy to bring samplings of our menu at Eggplant to the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo this year,” said Straker. “It will give people who have yet to dine with us an opportunity to experience Eggplant for the first time and hopefully after one taste it will keep them wanting more.”

Visit Eggplant the Restaurant’s exhibit at the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo to taste a sampling of the most popular menu items including the mouth-watering Mount Gay rum glazed ribs and blue crab and corn ragout.
