Press release from: CONRIC PR & Marketing

Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured routinely gives to local schools, but the firm’s latest donation was extra special. Longtime firm employee Katie McDonald, now a fourth-grade teacher at Memorial Elementary School in Arcadia, recently received four giant crates of supplies for students in her classroom as well as all the other fourth-grade rooms in the school.

“I’m so thankful, and it was just so heartwarming to see how much they care,” McDonald. “It’s made my first full year as a teacher a lot less stressful.”

The notebooks, folders, markers, crayons, colored paper and more are enough to last a couple of years, she said. The firm also sent ancillary items like tissues, paper towels and sandwich bags.

“People don’t think about those little things, but they’re needed just as much,” McDonald said. “The Scheiners really want to make sure children have all the tools they need to learn.”

McDonald has worked for the firm for seven years, starting in the file room and ultimately becoming a go-to person for help in every department. She still works occasional outreach events for the firm even though her primary job is now teaching.

“Katie is an exceptional young woman who we are proud to call an alumnus of the Scheiner team,” trial attorney P.J. Scheiner said. “We’re ecstatic to have the opportunity to support her and her Memorial classroom. We know that Katie is helping to shape a great future for her students and our community.”

The firm is also committed to service learning through its annual Make a Difference Awards, which recognize Southwest Florida middle and high school students who have performed outstanding volunteer and community service. The awards are typically handed out in the spring.

Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, was founded in 1971 by Bruce L. Scheiner and his wife, Cheryl Scheiner. Both continue to work alongside their son, P.J. Scheiner, who joined the firm as a trial attorney in 2007.

Today, Bruce and P.J. work side by side in the negotiating room and the courtroom, where they fight to secure full and fair restitution for each and every client they have the privilege of representing. Bruce Scheiner still hand selects each case the firm accepts, personally assembles the team best able to see the case through to settlement or trial, and oversees every case from intake to resolution.

Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, has the knowledge, experience and resources to handle all types of personal injury and wrongful death claims for clients across the state of Florida, including trucking accidents, boating accidents, airplane accidents, nursing home neglect and abuse, construction accidents, defective product claims, premise liability claims and injuries to children.
