10-08-2018 09:41 AM CET | Health & Medicine

Press release from: Telebehavioral Health Institute

5 October 2018, San Diego, CA Not sure if you or your organization will get paid for telemental health practice? This webinar will show you a wide variety of ways that you can get paid at rates that are often comparable to the income you make in your practice today.

Join TBHI in this learning adventure to hear about successful strategies for getting paid in a telepractice today. Dr. Maheu will present the latest reimbursement information to help you get a firm grasp of how to maximize your revenue, work legally and ethically — and develop your services for new markets.

Dr. Maheu added, Many practitioners now understand that telepractice is both legal and ethical, but simply don’t know how to start billing. This webinar will give the clinic as well as the private practitioner the basic skills needed for reimbursement from third-party carriers as well as Medicare and Medicaid. She added, Clinicians working through telehealth are now able to get paid in the vast majority of states. Millions of telehealth sessions are successfully reimbursed every year.

Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:
Identify at least 3 CPT codes that have been approved for behavioral telehealth reimbursement
Describe the recent change in telehealth modifier codes that need to be used for telehealth CPT code billing
Explain the difference between “G” codes and “9” codes — and how using the wrong one means you won’t get paid
Name the “place of service” code that you need to use to get paid for telehealth, telebehavioral and telemental health services
Name at least three places to go for accurate, timely and free information about telehealth, telebehavioral and telemental health billing
Explain which modifier code to use instead of the previous -GT modifier code
