Settled: Swiss Climate offers EU-MRV and IMO-DCS Services for flag state Antigua&Barbuda
While the IMO-DCS (Data Collection System) will enter into force worldwide on January 1st 2019, the EU-MRV regulations (Monitoring, Reporting, Verification) regulates the emission limits for merchant shipping in European ports already.
The signing of the agreement is the logical continuation of the corporate goal of Swiss Climate EcoCare GmbH to optimally support ship owners and shipping companies worldwide in their daily working routines.
Since 2017, the company has been an accredited EU-MRV and IMO-DCS verifier. After the first agreement with the Liberian Registry was concluded in September last year, more than 1.000 additional ships can now take advantage of the comprehensive range of services offered by Swiss Climate GmbH.
Philipp Ahrenkiel, CEO Swiss Climate EcoCare, explains: "The signing of the agreement with A&B shows that, as an accredited EU-MRV and IMO-DCS verifier, we also enjoy excellent acceptance among the major flag states with our comprehensive range of monitoring concepts and emission reports. We are proud of this and look forward to announcing that contributions of contract with other flag states will be signed shortly.”
