Tesh Parekh of Raleigh, NC has won the 2010 Parade of Homes Plan Book Magazine Cover Art contest
BUILDING DREAMS
2010 theme was "Building Dreams" and required showing some form of residential structure in the painting. When Tesh Parekh decided to enter the contest, he had a specific vision for his painting. Tesh paints in variety of mediums including Oils and Watercolors. For this painting he decided to use watercolors. The painting size is 24"x18" and is based on Tesh's own reference materials.
This painting will be presented on April 29, 2010 at an Awards Banquet to be held at UNCW, Wilmington, NC.
Tesh is an award winning artist who learned to draw and paint during his childhood. As an adult, he has been painting for last few years. Tesh paints in Oils,Watercolors, Gouache and Acrylics. His work has won many awards and is a member of the Cary Gallery of Artists, in Cary, NC.
Tesh likes the freedom of painting variety of subjects using different techniques. Doing sketches from life and working on own compositions is his preferred way of working. Tesh's love for painting from life frequently takes him outdoors to paint en Plein Air. He is also passionate about painting live weddings and events: this is a unique service that he offers. His live painting commissions are completed on the spot, matted and framed prior to or by end of the event!
Tesh's goal as an artist is to master the craft of painting so that his paintings can convey their message without techniques getting in the way.
