Italian language courses by the sea
The Picola Università Italiana, recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, is a professional language school situated in the beautiful seaside town Tropea. Founded in 1993, the school offers Italian language courses for all needs and levels.Our courses are given to small groups of 4-6 students or as individual lessons. Also special courses for the hotel and tourism industry, individual crash courses in business Italian or Italian for fashion and style are possible on request. Our staff is aimed in teaching their own language to students from all over the world. All of them are native speakers and university graduates with years of experience behind them.
Besides the Italian language courses, the school offers a rich cultural program to explore the cultural attractions as the magical atmosphere of Tropea and it’s surrounding areas. It is not only the availability of numerous sports facilities that makes Tropea so attractive, but also its ideal location, which allows one to make many interesting trips, for instance to the fabulous nature reserve in the Sila mountains, to the volcanic island of Stromboli, or to culturally rich Taormina in Sicily.

The Italian language school "Piccola Università Italiana" was founded in 1993 as “Caffè Culturale”. In 2004 the name was changed to “Piccola Università Italiana” as our courses are now authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education, of University and of Research. The school aims to be a place where students from all over the world can meet. Our school has become a place where you can get to know interesting people of different ages, communicate, and exchange opinions and ideas - this is exactly what the name "Piccola Università" suggests.
