System ‘Eye’ redefines safety of self-driving cars

Every year millions of people get into car crashes worldwide. Quite a few much-publicized accidents that involved self-driving cars proved that the industry cannot provide a fully-secured solution to protect drivers from mishaps on the roads. Whether caused by human error or poor autonomous systems’ capabilities, the stats of critical reasons for crashes are still terrifying.

Discoperi, an automotive startup aimed to bring safety to the automobile industry, offers an intelligent system that can be embedded into any type of vehicles to prevent accidents by at least 25%. System ‘Eye’ provides in-depth data on the risk profile of drivers and analyzes new data points related to risks beyond the viewing area of self-driving cars.

The System is built as a video control IoT device that uses AI algorithms and big data analytics to identify all traffic participants, understand the surroundings, and predict possible collisions. System ‘Eye’ recognizes road conditions (including signs and weather), vehicle’s type, and more importantly drivers’ behavior (speeding, overtaking, parking).

All this data is captured and stored in the cloud and belongs solely to drivers. Moreover, Discoperi will offer drivers to monetize and share collected data with the community which has never been done before.

To support drivers community Discoperi gives away two tickets to Formula 1 Grand Prix that will be held on October 7 in Suzuka, Japan.
