The operation was performed on a Lebanese patient, who’s been suffering from bronchial hemorrhage, accompanied with a team of Australian experts in the implantation of prostheses. Bone fusion is a new breakthrough in orthopedic surgery. It was not possible to reintegrate the previously amputated limbs, except under specific conditions, on bones with lesser density than the leg bone.
The process opens up a new hope for a normal life and a balanced movement for amputees in the Arab region.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Khaled Atta is also a specialist in orthopedic surgery, bone malformations, joint changes, peripheral neurosurgery, club injuries and arthroscopy.
