Press release from: ParetoLogic

February 16, 2010 -- ParetoLogic is one company that really gives from the heart. The security and utility software developer recently signed up to become Partners for Life with Canadian Blood Services. This marks a commitment to donate blood, platelets, and plasma - as individuals and as a company - to better ensure the ability of Canadian Blood Services to help those in need.

“We’ve got over 120 staff at ParetoLogic,” explained Tracy Clayton, one of ParetoLogic’s Customer Support Representatives, who spearheaded ParetoLogic’s involvement. “We have a huge potential to help people and to save lives.”

To help boost donations, ParetoLogic’s two Victoria offices will have a friendly competition to see who can donate the most. The winning office will receive both bragging rights and cake, which pair well with the post-donation apple juice and cookies. Elton Pereira, CEO and Co-founder of ParetoLogic, has set up an additional contest – if 50 staffers donate blood, he’ll shave his head. For 100, he’ll shave his legs.

The Canadian Blood Foundation provides much needed blood services to patients treated for such treatments as cancer, surgery, and trauma. The health care services in Canada require a steady influx of blood donations in order to help patients get well. ParetoLogic has set their donation pledge at 15 units, which, after less than a month, they have already surpassed.
