Greater China: Five stage achievements of the Paper Expo China 2010, Guangzhou

Berlin - tr - The 7th Paper Expo China will be held on June 28th to 30th, 2010 in Jinhan Exhibition Centre, Guangzhou. The exhibiting space is expected to surpass 10,000 sqm with more than 300 exhibitors, ranking the No.1 paper exposition in South China. The show is sponsored by Guangdong Paper Association, Shandong Light Industry Machinery Association, Henan Paper Industry Association and Zhejiang Paper-making Industry Association. It is co-sponsored by Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association, Thai Pulp and Paper Industries Association, Malaysian Pulp and Paper Manufacturers Association, German Global Trade Forum Berlin, Sichuan Association for Small and Medium Paper-making Enterprises, Guangxi Autonomous Region Paper-making Society, Hunan Paper-making Industry Association and Fujian Paper-making Industry Association.

Since its inception in 2004, the Paper Expo China has witnessed a growing scale and influence in the seven years. Since 2008, the show has maintained a growth rate above 30% for two consecutive years, obtaining a wide recognition by domestic and abroad as the most authoritative paper expo in South China.

The show is welcoming its 7th edition in this June. Five stage achievements have been secured by now.

Achievement one: the Thai paper-making giant SCG Paper PLC joined to explore the Chinese market.

SCG Paper PLC is the subsidiary of the SCG Group, who is also the leading paper manufacturer in Thailand, covering forestry, pulp and printing & writing paper, paperboard, containerboard and corrugated containers. Its paper and packaging mills distribute in Thailand and other ASEAN like Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, as well as some Southeast Asian countries like Singapore. SCG Paper PLC’s attending Paper Expo China 2010 this time contributes to its long-term and strategic development. On the other hand, the Paper Expo China 2010 achieves an upgrading in terms of internalization with the joining of SCG Paper PLC.

Achievement two: active participations by small & medium and new enterprises manifest the show’s function as a powerful and effective incubator.

The Paper Expo China has been committing in bringing in potential business opportunities for developing markets and enterprises. So, to invite newly established enterprises to exhibit in the show becomes the priority of the organizer, who at the same time provides a series of services like advising and business support to those enterprises. It also invites related sectors of business to attend the show, bringing in all possibilities for exhibitors and visitors to explore business, with an aim to make the Paper Expo China 2010 become an important gateway for new enterprises to know more about the industrial development in the world and a significant incubator for small and medium enterprises in the industry. Achievement three: a rich content with a large participation

The Paper Expo China 2010 will have a series of high-level and practical forums on management and technology, news release conference for new products & services and procurement meetings, providing substantial opportunities for exhibitors, professional visitors, foreign and domestic trade missions to exchange information and negotiate business.

Achievement four: an unprecedentedly hot booking continues.

By now, the Paper Expo China has witnessed an unprecedentedly hot booking. Old customers continue their enthusiasm to the 7th edition. Changhua Paper Machine, Hengxing Stock, Zhengzhou Yunda Paper Machine and Chong Tian Paper Machine will join the Shandong and Henan Pavilions for the second time. Nine Dragon, Stora Enso, Lonfon Paper, Yinzhouhu Paper Making Base, Guangning Pavilion, Xingmin Paper-making, TTH Paper, Shenzhen Heng Yue Sheng, Huamei Starch, Jianhua Machine and Fujian Light Machine also provide support in their own ways.

New customers actively participate too. WETED, Qingtong & Boke, New-Environmental Mechanical Engineering Equipment, Wan Feng Li, PNSHAR and Guoxi Paper will join for the first time. Huafeng and HTRH Paper will represent the China Chengtong Group to attend. What’s the most important is the list continues.

Achievement five: exploration to the new developing markets led by the Federation of ASEAN Pulp and Paper Industries (FAPPI)

Mr. Chaovalit Ekabut, President of The Thai Pulp and Paper Industries Association (TPPIA), will organize a trade mission to the show. The Vietnam Pulp and Paper Association will be led by Dr. Vu Ngoc Bao to visit the show again in a trade mission. Moreover, the Malaysian Pulp and Paper Industries Association and the German Global Trade Forum Berlin also agree to become the Co-sponsors for the show. Overseas media, Paper Asia, MeTissue, Nordicum, Print2Pack and PaperinPack are carrying out extensive promotion for the show to the local public.

After six years of accumulation, the Paper Expo China is welcoming a brand-new presence to the international pulp and paper community and waiting for more surprises to come…
