TV Genius Joins NDS Recommendations Engine Partner Programme

LONDON – February 10, 2010 – NDS, the leading provider of technology solutions for digital pay-TV today announced TV Genius as the latest company to join the NDS Recommendations Engine Partner Programme. Through this programme, NDS will offer the services of TV Genius to its customers as a partner in recommendation engine based initiatives.

TV Genius helps viewers explore content across a variety of platforms. Building on four years of development, TV Genius offers a three-screen solution based on over 20 deployments in seven countries.

By incorporating recommendations into their service, operators are able to offer additional content to consumers based on relevance and viewing preferences, encouraging subscribers to try new programmes and premium services. Service providers benefit by building loyalty, reducing churn and increasing ARPU as subscribers explore premium content.

The platform consists of three key technologies: Search, Personalisation, and Recommendations, which can be delivered to web sites, mobile devices or set-top boxes. It aggregates content from different sources and includes sophisticated data warehousing.
