Yalwa Business Directory Launches Beta Version Mobile Sites

Feb 09, 2010 – Yalwa, The Local Internet Company, (yalwa.com/) launched the beta version of its mobile business directory sites this month, allowing mobile users to access local business directories through their cellular phone anytime and anywhere.
“The increasing usage of the Internet on mobile devices as well as the growing demand for a free and easy to use online business directory have strengthened us in our decision to launch the Yalwa business pages in a mobile version”, says CEO and founder of Yalwa, Klaus Gapp, and adds: “Most people can relate to the situation of being in a new city and not knowing where to find hotels, restaurants, or even a plumber near-by. With the Yalwa mobile business pages, it is now easy to access a directory with local business listings quickly and effectively.”
In the beta version, the Yalwa mobile sites (http://m.yalwa.com/) will allow the browsing and searching of business listings in 38 countries and over 1000 major cities around the globe. Local businesses that want to be featured in the Yalwa business directory (http://www.yalwa.com/) can post their business listings for free, including pictures and links to their website. These listings will automatically appear on the mobile business pages as well.
About Yalwa: The German startup company Yalwa offers two local websites based on the philosophy that local web applications should be free, trusted and easy to use. Yalwa, a free business directory and Locanto, a free classifieds site are both offered in 38 countries worldwide, covering five different languages (Dutch, English, French, German, and Spanish).
