British Swim School Makes Splash in 21st State

British Swim School, best known for its education of water safety as an essential survival skill amongst a fun and gentle environment, continues its nationwide expansion with a new pool location in the state of Indiana. The addition officially opened to the public in July, but is being celebrated through a Family Water and Community Safety Event on Saturday, August 26 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This Carmel location marks the 21st state for the British Swim School franchise.

Brooke Reister, the school’s aquatics director, will provide hands-only CPR classes designed to teach bystanders the practice of life-saving chest compressions in times of emergency. Also at the event, the Carmel Police Department will be conducting free car seat installation inspections, and the Carmel Fire Department will be presenting fire extinguisher demonstrations. There will also be accompanying festivities such as shaved ice, bounce house, music from Mr. Daniel, games, and prizes from Baby Boot Camp, Urban Chalkboard and more. The new Carmel location will be run by first-time franchisees and married duo Katie and Greg Blair, who immersed themselves into the British Swim School system after searching for programs to enroll their three-year-old son. Not able to find a solution, the Blairs decided that the British Swim School model and curriculum would serve the community well.
