Isolated DS modulators can be applied for the design of Analog-to-Design (ADC) converters and Digital-to-Analog (DAC) converters and this is used to reduce the sampling rate as it is usually found that the modulator signals are oversampled. In addition, these DS modulators are utilized in many fields such as acquiring signals and processing, usually carried out by dominating one of the DAC or ADC converters.
