Press release from: XClinical GmbH

XClinical GmbH, Munich, Germany – 28 JAN, 2010 – XClinical, a European vendor of innovative software products for eClinical trials known for its innovative and user-friendly CDISC ODM-certified EDC software suite MARVIN, had a very successful business year. Looking back, these were the most important milestones of 2009:

XClinical took on more than 40 new projects with both new and existing clients. To date, XClinical has not lost one single client since its formation in 2002. Seven new sponsors, including some of the top ten pharmaceutical companies in the US, Germany, France and Switzerland, were convinced by XClinical’s products and services. Two clients began their trials after a very short set-up time of just a few weeks, providing perfect examples of the advantages to an ODM metadata-driven set-up process.

XClinical continues to follow its successful business strategy featuring an international network of certified partners. Based in Munich, the company experienced continuous growth in 2009, despite the economically challenging developments. Within its existing markets in the US, Europe and Asia, XClinical expanded its global presence.

Last year’s growth was in no small part due to XClinical’s frequent participation in the most important pharmaceutical and data management events in US, Europe and Japan. “XClinical is an international company. It is therefore very important for us to attend all these conferences in order to establish contact with the industry worldwide,” said Dr. Claus Lindenau, Head of Business Development. “But we not only attend the conferences as exhibitors, we also focus on contributing to hot topics in our industry. In such, we can share our experiences while also gaining insight into what our potential clients need and how they work.”

For the fifth time, XClinical invited its clients to its annual User Meeting. During this two-day meeting in Munich, clients shared their experiences with MARVIN and engaged in discussions on EDC and related topics. “The User Meeting was a total success last year,” said Dr. Verplancke. “The meeting is very important for us in order to see how our clients use MARVIN, what its advantages are, and which features need to be improved or developed.”

For 2010, XClinical is planning on replicating last year’s success and expanding its international network. New product developments are therefore being planned, and the company will be present at several international conferences. Furthermore, XClinical will present an EDC workshop in Germany to provide a learning platform for EDC and related topics.
