Lambdatest Offers Wordpress Developers an Integrated Plugin For Cross Browser Testing

LambdaTest, a leading cloud based platform for cross browser testing, announced today the launch of its WordPress plugin for screenshot testing as an add-on on the WordPress CMS. It is the first such plugin for cross browser testing in the WordPress marketplace. The plugin is expected to change the way 74 million (approx) sites hosted on wordpress test their blogs and pages across multiple browser, operating system, and resolution combinations.
“There was no way one could do cross browser testing on WordPress itself, in spite of WordPress having such a huge global community. We felt that we can really make testing easier for the developers working on WordPress and that’s why we decided to build this plugin,” said Asad Khan, CEO of LambdaTest.
The plugin facilitates the WordPress developers and testers to take full page screenshots of posts and pages and see how would they appear across the various browsers and device combinations. It comes up with an absolutely simple way for developers to perform quick visual test by comparison.
The platform extended by Lambdatest takes care of hosting and maintenance of the virtual machines and sets free the users from the burden of even giving a thought about what’s happening behind the screen. Their WordPress plugin opens the option of testing over a combination of 2000+ real browser, operating system and resolutions for mobile and desktop browsers.

In addition to the ease of use the LambdaTest WordPress Plugin allows the developers to do the following: -
1. Take 25 screenshots of different combinations at the same time.
2. Take screenshots over desktops of different resolutions
3. Test for mobile browser (iOS & Android)
4. Test across a combination of 2000+ browsers, operating systems and resolutions
5. Manage the plugin from the admin panel without navigating to the specific pages
6. Set a defer time to ensure that your page is fully loaded before the screenshots are taken
7. Define the orientation of the page for which you want to test.
