General Travel Security – now available as computer based training (E-Learning)

One element of corporate fiduciary duties is to ensure that employees return safely from their business trips. The practical belief of many employers is that they are compliant with these duties by having proper medical insurance for their employees while they are on a business trip. This belief has some risky elements as insurance in general is only a reactive way to cope with the problem. If something happens on a business trip because the employer saved money by letting the employee stay in a hotel located in a high-crime part of the foreign capital or because he was used as a cash messenger for the subsidiary then the insurance will likely claim restitution from the employer for gross negligence.
