Epson, manufacturer of the popular Discproducer line of autoloading disc publishing equipment announced a new print only version of the Discproducer will be added to the Discproducer series. The high speed PP-100AP Autoprinter is positioned as a cost effective, flexible solution for inkjet printing on CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs.

The successful Discproducer series of disc publishers and the introduction of the PP-100AP was a direct result of customer feedback and industry research. Building on their proven robotics and inkjet printing system allows Epson to target mid to high level production environments looking to produce high quality printed discs.

The PP-100AP has four disc trays and is capable of printing up to 100 discs continuously in one printing run. The six individual color ink cartridges are rated at 1000+ discs per cartridge set. An added benefit of having individual ink cartridges allows the user to only replace the color that is empty, a substantial cost savings to replacing the entire color cartridge. A rugged design included dual pane windows that eliminate noise and render the unit almost silent during operation. 3 print modes are available offering print resolutions up to 1440dpi x 1440dpi for photograph quality results. The fast robotics and a new higher speed print mode can print up to 95 discs per hour. The included software package is user-friendly and allows for up to six PP100-AP units to be controlled from a single Computer, enabling a single user to print an impressive 570 discs per hour.
