Add-In Provider itemis verstärkt Engagement für Eclipse
Lünen, 5.10.2006. Die itemis GmbH & Co. KG teilt mit, dass sie ihre Support- und Produktangebote rund um die freie Entwicklungsplattform Eclipse ausbauen wird.Zu diesem Zweck wird der Add-in Provider aus Lünen zunächst das Projekt CM3 als Open Source freistellen. CM3 ist ein Aufsatz für Modellierungswerkzeuge, mit dem es möglich ist, die Modellierung mittels UML stark zu vereinfachen.
So können mit dem Einsatz von CM3-Plugins Validierungen schon zur Modellierungszeit vorgenommen werden. Dadurch werden Fehler auf Modell-Ebene bereits frühzeitig erkannt und vermieden.
Das Projekt ist das erste einer Reihe von Entwickler-Tools, die auf Eclipse aufsetzen und freigestellt werden. Es ist ab sofort im Internet unter http://cm3.sourceforge.net verfügbar.
Darüber hinaus wird itemis ab Ende des Jahres auch Support für die freie Entwicklungsumgebung selbst leisten. Im Vorfeld wird auf http://eclipse.itemis.de eine eigenständige Sektion für die Eclipse-Plattform eingerichtet. Derzeit bietet itemis auf diesen Seiten bereits Unterstützung für das Eclipse Modelling Projekt an.
