Conservative Independent Imperato Participates in Aspen Film Festival
Aspen, CO – October 1, 2006 – From the Aspen Film Festival (www.aspenfilm.org) 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato commented on one of the festival's most controversial films, "Jesus Camp."Directed by Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady this documentary takes a fascinating look into evangelical subculture through the eyes of children.
The documentary "Jesus Camp" is about a North Dakota camp that teaches kids Christian values. The filmmakers show how the camp leaders try to integrate these beliefs into their young campers' lives.
"While visiting Aspen I had the pleasure to see the opening of the documentary 'Jesus Camp'. I would like the American people to know that this documentary is very controversial but very on target.
"I stand up to state today that I am conservative presidential candidate who is spirit-filled and loves the Lord. I support the Christian community for diligently pursuing the education of our young people in Christianity and the belief in God.
The film's controversy is based on one of its premises that the evangelical church is organizing to control the voting power through the belief in Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.
"As the leading candidate in the USA, I support the Spirit and walk with the Lord everyday. I hope and pray that I have the chance to stand up to spread the Word and walk in it. My presidential run has a lot to do with this subject which will be revealed at a later date."
"I declare today that the Independent America is not the blood state of red or the bruised state of blue; it's the white state of the spirit. I call on the Christian believers to support me and my campaign and our mission to walk with Him to spread the word to revive America, and let the church rise. Hallelujah."
