EPFL – Sunâ Microsystems (Switzerland), Inc. Conference on "Security & Identity Management in a Federated World"

Bridging the Digital Divide, and bridging the borders between Technology, Legal and Social issues are the main challenges in building an Information Society for all. The Open Event on “"Security & Identity Management in a Federated World", jointly organized by the Chair MIR of the College of Technologies Management at the EPFL and Sunâ Microsystem (Switzerland), Inc will represents an occasion to deepen understandings toward the answers to these challenges and an occasion to deepen understanding of what "Identity Management" means in relation to the Information Society.
Mr. John Gage, the Sunâ Microsystem Chief Researcher, will be the Key Note Speaker for the Event.
In-depth presentations on issues concerning privacy, security and trust, and analytical case studies on how Identity Management can be implemented at various scales and levels (local, regional and international) will endorse the Conference Programme which the main Topics are: the Digital Divide and Technological, Cultural and Legal Aspects of Security & Identity Management; Privacy, Security & Trust with the Liberty Alliance Project; Case Studies, Local and Regional Adoption of Identity Management; Security Compliance in 'Internet 2.0' times; Identity & Relationship Management.
The target of the audience are Swiss and European Institutions/Enterprises interested and involved in the ID management, for both Public/Private settling-up services and related matters, following the Governance perspective: attendees to the Conference will bring a concrete occasion for the horizontal exchange of knowledge, experiences and best practices among participants, speakers and representatives from the different industries and sectors.
