Inlab Networks announces a highly secure Layer 2 VPN protocol

July 25, 2018: Inlab Networks announces a new Layer 2 VPN protocol and packet transfer method combining true random key material obtained from a quantum physics true random generator (beam splitter), AES and SHA-2.

The true random generator being selected for that purpose is the Quantis device from the Swiss company IDQuantique.

The TRKM protocol (True Random Key Material Protocol) implementation and documentation is planned to be available in Q4 2018 with BalanceNG V5, the currect development release branch of BalanceNG.

Ideal applications within the load-balancing world for TRKMp will be Layer 3 DSR (Direct Server Return) and high available remote LAN connections at a security level that is almost impossible to break.

About BalanceNG:

BalanceNG is a modern, multithreading software load balancer available for Linux, macOS and Solaris operating systems. BalanceNG utilizes its own highly specialized IP stack for IPv4 and IPv6 and implements an independent active/passive cluster environment based on VRRP and the bngsync session table synchronization protocol.

Key features are its outstanding packet processing performance and its easy integrability in datacenter networks and OEM product lines which make it the perfect choice for network operators, hosting companies and Telco product designers.
