Daylesford Abbey’s Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction GofundMe Campaign Launched in Time of as it Turns Golden

[Paoli, Pennsylvania], [July 21, 2018] – The Daylesford Abbey launched a GoFundMe campaign for its Annual Dinner and Silent Auction in celebration of their Golden Anniversary, with the hopes of encouraging more people in joining their team of fundraisers.

One can consider the 50th anniversary of Abbey’s special annual event as a milestone for the years of selfless commitment and service in the community. The event aims to encourage anyone with a heart for their brothers and sisters who benefits from Abby’s charity and spiritual missions throughout Philadelphia.
In view of this, a GoFundMe campaign was launched as a concerted effort during the Abby’s largest fundraiser - the 50th Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction. The organizers are hopeful for a successful evening and to raise $250,000 which will be used to subsidize the vast ministries as well as having a far more significant impact on the homeless and their immigrant community.
Two of Abbey’s key features include its Spiritual Center and the Bethesda Project’s housing and shelter facilities. The Spiritual Center has 36 newly-renovated rooms available for overnight guests. Those who will stay overnight at the Center may request for spiritual direction, and may also use the theological library. The Bethesda Project, on the other hand, operates a total of 14 sites specifically built to support individuals going through homelessness and having immigration issues for the time being. The 14 community sites located throughout Philadelphia, Pennsylvania range from independent living spaces, safe haven, supportive housing, emergency shelter, and permanent shelter for both men and women every day.
The Abbey, together with the Office of Homeless Services of Philadelphia and other local churches, are working hand-in-hand to provide meals, year-round shelter or respite, as well as case management service for men, women, as well as individuals who are struggling with mental illnesses, other disabilities, serious medical condition, or problems with substance abuse. Individuals who are staying at the facilities with a high level of self-sufficiency are likewise given access to the supports provided by Bethesda Project.
Through the 50th Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction GoFundMe campaign of the Abbey, these individuals will be able to continuously receive the basic necessities of food all throughout the year, and shelter as well as much-needed services whenever possible.
