The Annex Dance Academy opens a brand new location on Bathurst Street in downtown Toronto

Toronto, ON – September 19, 2006 – So you don’t think you can dance, but you’ve always wanted to audition for the show; then classes at the Annex Dance Academy may help get you on your way to becoming the next prima ballerina. The Annex Dance Academy is a brand new dance studio that opened its doors in Toronto’s trendy Annex Neighbourhood, offering a wide variety of classes for children and adults including ballet, tap, jazz and more. These classes not only introduce dance technique and creativity to students, but also promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

Led by owners and directors Sarah Dempsey and Cheryl Wallace, the calibre of training at the Annex Dance Academy is phenomenal, with award-winning choreographers and performers as instructors. Many have danced professionally and competitively throughout North America, contributing their amazing talent and experience to the Annex Dance Academy’s clientele.

“We are thrilled to bring our love of dance to the Annex,” said Sarah Dempsey, director. “With our brand new studio opened on Bathurst Street, we hope to foster a love of dance in our students and bring an appreciation for the arts as well as a healthy lifestyle to the forefront of the community.”

Classes are offered for children of all ages, with programs ranging from a Mommy-and-Me class designed to get moms and their tots moving to advanced classes for teens. Adults can get their grooves on, learning the latest choreography in ballet, tap, jazz and even hip-hop.
