OVER 50% OF PARENTS TERRIFIED ABOUT SCHOOL HOLIDAYS THIS WEEK

Kidadl Reports (2018.07.17, London, UK): OnePulse survey of 1000 parents reveals high levels of concern about entertaining children in school holidays and the associated costs.

With the school holidays starting next week, parents are terrified about what they can do to keep their children entertained and out of harm’s way.

A survey of 1000 parents published this week by OnePulse shows that 51% of parents are stressed about the school holidays and worried about how they are going to keep the kids entertained this summer.

Highlights from the survey include: -

• 51% of parents are stressed about the school holidays and worried about how they are going to keep kids entertained.

• 40% of all parents’ biggest concern is the cost of paying for children’s activities. Interestingly this rises to 53% with families of 3 or more children - that’s over half the parents surveyed.

• 26% (1/4 of all parents surveyed) are concerned about finding things for their children to do.

• 12% of parents are worried about how to reduce screen time - which inevitably goes up when children are on their holidays.

• 17% of working parents are concerned about taking time off work.

Families fear not! A lifeline for worried parents has been launched in the form of Kidadl – a brand new ‘family days out’ app made by two mums who met at a Hen Party. The two female entrepreneurs, Hannah Feldman (39) and Sophie Orman (52), even have the backing of the Money Saving Expert himself, Martin Lewis who has invested in the business.

Kidadl revolutionises the way parents cope with school holidays and weekends – cutting costs, spending less time worrying about what to do with their children and being more creative about what they do to keep their kids entertained. Over a third of the ideas on Kidadl are totally free so parents needn’t worry about breaking the bank when they venture out with their kids.

The Kidadl app is free to download now on iOS and Android. The Kidadl platform is already used by over 40,000 parents and is growing daily thanks to word of mouth.

Former colleague of Dragon’s Den James Caan, parenting expert, mum of 3 and Kidadl Co-Founder, Hannah Feldman, said; “The affordability of school holidays is clearly a real worry for parents. I created the Kidadl app to make holidays more fun and stress-free, and less of a drain on family budgets - that’s why we have so many free events and activities on the app. Kidadl makes it easier for families like mine to optimise the time they have together and to get out and explore in ways they would not have considered in the past.”

Download the Kidadl app at www.kidadl.com.

Kidadl is the app to discover and book the most amazing family events and activities which are personalised and curated for each individual family.

OnePulse is the opinion platform that brings people and businesses together. The OnePulse app makes it easy and rewarding to answer questions about the things you care about, and get your voice heard. OnePulse is disrupting traditional methods of market research - gathering real-time opinions in app, so brands and organisations can make fast decisions with confidence.
