During 1989 Software602 started as a non-profit computer club in Czechoslovakia and was assigned a registration number by the government, that number was "602". By the time political change took place and private business could exist, we'd grown to over half a million users strong and decided to keep the name, Software602. In 1996, once the decision to go global was made, Software602, Inc., the US subsidiary was established in Jacksonville, Florida.
