DSI Entertainment Systems is a 3rd time Recipient of Crestron’s Integration AwardsLos Angeles,CA - December 05, 2009 -- DSI Entertainment Systems, a leading electronic systems contractor specializing in home theater systems, media rooms, and home automation, won Crestron’s “Best Integrated Home System” Award for 2009, a prestigious award from the leading manufacturer in the home automation, systems integration, and controls industry. The winning home is a contemporary Malibu beachfront residence owned by the well-known philanthropist Wallis Annenberg. The Crestron Integration Awards recognize the best home automation installations in the world. DSI Entertainment Systems won Crestron’s “Most Creative Graphic User Interface (GUI)” in 2008 and “Most Extreme Makeover” award in 2006.

Besides ultimate convenience, another benefit of a home automation system lies in the ability to save energy. A favorite “Green” feature DSI Entertainment Systems regularly programs into their clients’ homes is a ‘Goodnight’ button that shuts off all audio/video systems, sets back the thermostats to an energy-saving mode, shuts off all lights, and arms the security system. A ‘Vacation’ setting can likewise put all of the home’s thermostats in an idle state to further conserve energy, and even have the home’s lighting control randomly cycle some of the interior lights to give any would-be intruders that the home is occupied.
