BookMyTickets trade partner Vistara airlines revises Penalties

Vistara, a very young airline based in Gurgoan, has announced its revised charges on penalties. All trade partners were informed about the update on 27th June, the same date the revision is applicable from.

The joint ventured airline between Tata Sons and Singapore had only recently given updates prior to the latest ones. The last updated charges of penalties were distributed and applicable from 9th June.

The latest revision of penalties do not differ copiously from the the previous one. Most of the penalty charges remain the same save the No-Show fee charges. A No-Show fee is a penalty for canceling or changing a flight 2 hours prior to boarding. The 9th June update states that ‘only taxes [are] refundable’ for No-Show fee across all classes. The latest update, however, changes that to a ₹3,000 penalty under a Flexi fare only instead, for all classes. Now, the customers will not have to forfeit the base fare for a No-Show.

The same will be abided by BookMyTicket, all of Vistara’s trade partners and travel agencies in India. The changes are already under application.

Since the turbine fuel prices are rocketing up (40% higher in the last 18 months) resulting in hiked air fares, Vistara’s update that allows great flexibility may serve as a small incentive for travellers to choose this airline.
