ResQ Delivers Mobile Video with MoboVivo Partnership

ResQ Mobile Services, an industry leader in end-to-end wireless technology solutions, is pleased to announce their groundbreaking partnership with MoboVivo, a Calgary based video management software company . MoboVivo's myScreens platform gives content providers the ability to deliver video to mobile devices regardless of platform, device, format or wireless carrier.

With nearly three million field workers in Canada, ResQ intends to add a layer of communication and content delivery that simply doesn't exist with field-workers in the marketspace.

"We're especially interested in equipping field-workers with more information," Chad Hughes, ResQ's President and CEO remarked. "Many employees in the field already carry smartphones and use email or mobile forms. A hardware agnostic technology, MoboVivo's myScreens will significantly enhance ResQ's ability to offer services to all wireless carriers in Canada using a variety of handsets. ResQ intends to market this new service to its current customers and new prospects in the healthcare, oil & gas, utilities, government and transportation markets.

Each of the leading mobile platforms deliver media to smartphones in proprietary and often incompatible formats. As a consequence, mobile content providers have to transcode and make available independent versions of all of their videos for each platform or device. MoboVivo's myScreens dynamically transforms and delivers content for the most popular platforms and devices - meeting consumer demand for quality, portability, and accessibility – and in the process eliminates the inevitable costs and headaches that result when content is incompatible with hardware devices.

This new service is slated to launch Q1 2010.
