FINRA Arbitration Claim Filed against VSR Financial

The White Law Group has filed a Claim Alleging Over-concentration in High-risk Private Placement Investments.

The White Law Group has filed and submitted a FINRA claim on behalf of a Kingston, Washington resident alleging claims for violation of common law fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, and negligent supervision.

The claim further alleges that VSR Financial unsuitably invested the client in the following high risk private placement investments:

FS Energy & Power Fund
Griffin Access Real Estate Fund
Hines Global REIT Inc.
Resource Real Estate Income Fund

KBS REIT II
Monogram Residential Trust
NetREIT
Northstar REIT II
Templeton Global Bond
UDF
UDF IV

The claim seeks damages between $100,000 and $500,000.

It is alleged VSR Financial failed to perform the necessary due diligence on these investments prior to recommending them to these particular investors.

Before recommending an investment, a broker-dealer has a fiduciary duty to adequately disclose the risks involved in the investment and to perform the necessary due diligence to determine whether the investment is suitable for the investor.

It is further alleged that the financial advisor that handled the accounts at issue is Robert M. Hinz (CRD# 1026405). According to his FINRA Broker Report, Mr. Hinz has been the subject of at least seven customer complaints.
