Bangkok's Best Sushi and Japanese Catering

Bangkok's Best Sushi and Japanese Catering

David Lombradi has announced the launch of Wasabi Catering, bringing the Canadian restaurateur’s renowned sushi & sake lounge into the comfort of your Bangkok party venue. From private residences and hotel suites to garden parks and golf courses, Wasabi is equipped and experienced in delivering the freshest fish and finest sake to any location.

Wasabi sets up a sushi counter that is an exact replica of the restaurant’s sushi bar. A sushi display fridge keeps stock fresh and ensures that each guest experiences the same fine sushi that has made Wasabi famous. Behind the bar, our chef carefully prepares dishes right off the restaurant’s menu, while Wasabi servers attend to your guests’ sake cups and ensure that each seat is properly maintained. All tableware is exactly like the restaurant’s, and every aspect of the atmosphere is attended to. Our sushi bar comfortably holds 12 guests, but we have catered events for well above 120 guests.

Ordering for a catering event is simple. Interested clients order right from the actual Wasabi menu six days in advance (or earlier). Then we fly all product in fresh from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji Fish market and get to work—all at a price that is equal to or cheaper than dining at the Wasabi restaurant.

David Lombardi opened his first of two restaurants in 2001, in Indonesia. Wasabi - Bali quickly became recognized as one of the best sushi bars in Southeast Asia, receiving accolades from DestinAsian, Harper’s Bazaar, and Nirvana. In May 2003, Wasabi made Conde Nast Traveller’s list of the 75 Top New Restaurants In The World. His culinary ambition realized, Lombardi sought to expand his vision and became enchanted with the Kingdom of Thailand. In 2006, he moved Wasabi to its current location above Bangkok’s legendary nightclub, Q-Bar, where the lounge immediately established itself among Bangkok’s most talked-about restaurants.

Inspired by Japan’s most celebrated sushi bars, Wasabi is Bangkok's premier sushi and sake lounge, serving only the freshest fish, best rice, and finest sakes. To achieve that goal, Wasabi’s fish is flown in twice a week from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji market, its rice hand-selected, and its sake list anchored by such rare Hakkaisan brands as Dai Ginjo and Junmai Gingo. The Wasabi menu is renowned for its traditional Niigata-style sushi and sashimi, as well its signature fusion dishes—which include Kobe beef and hot foie gras rolls.
