Acclaimed prop maker for the Da Vinci Code
Dick George Associates have been around for many years in the event & exhibition industry, and are now becoming more and more renowned for their skills as prop makers for major film & tv productions.An independent company based in East Molesey, near to Hampton Court Palace, Dick George Associates have been carving their way to recent acclaim by being selected to manufacture the ‘Cryptex’ for the controversial movie the Da Vinci Code recently released.
This remarkable piece was created by hand for the movie under the creative direction of Allan Cameron and Giles Masters. All elements had to physically work exactly as described in Dan Brown’s novel, including the locking cipher concealing the hidden scroll, this provided the challenge for the team at Dick George Associates! But they often quote that they are ‘in business to solve other people’s problems’, well in this case, once again they succeeded!
During past years Dick George Associates have been involved in manufacturing many weird and wonderful creations such as a full size mock up of an aircraft, giant size tin cans, various props for successful film’s such as The Mummy, exhibition components for the likes of Nokia & HP, and even life size replica’s of some of the world’s most well known children’s tv characters!
Whatever the problem – Dick George Associates will use their creative touch to solve it!
