AOC announces 144 Hz mainstream gaming monitor with AMD Radeon FreeSync and 1 ms response time

Amsterdam, 30 May 2018 – Display specialist AOC announces the new monitor, G2590FX, that delivers what most budget-conscious gamers are passionate about: a 24.5” TN panel with 1 ms response time, 1920x1080 Full HD resolution, impressive 144 Hz refresh rate and AMD Radeon FreeSync support for a tear- and stutter-free gaming experience at any framerate. It is the newest addition to the G90 mainstream gaming monitor family, which debuted successfully with the 24.5” G2590VXQ and G2590PX as well as the 27” G2790PX at the end of last year.

A new member of the well-received G90 Series
AOC’s G90 Series launched in December 2017. Offered as entry-level, but fully capable gaming monitors the G90 series quickly gained appraisal by many, receiving multiple awards and positive reviews. AOC decided to extend the G90 Series with an additional model. The 24.5” TN panel of the the new G2590FX boasts 1920x1080 Full HD resolution at 144 Hz refresh rate, with a 1 ms response time. Its 400 cd/m² brightness and the improved viewing angles (170/160) ensure a comfortable viewing and gaming experience. The 3-sided frameless design gives the monitor a premium feel and enables seamless multi-monitor setups, for immersive, super wide screen gaming or multitasking. The simple but elegant foot of G2590FX offers wide tilt adjustment from -3.5° to 21.5° and supports 100x100 mm VESA mounting for those gamers who want to position the monitor to their individual taste.

Budget-conscious but feature-rich
AOC launches a high performance display at an attractive cost. While still being an entry-level monitor, the G2590FX keeps on giving. The FreeSync technology allows the synchronisation of the monitor’s refresh rate with the rendered framerate output of supported AMD GPU’s, therefore eliminating stutter and tearing caused by mismatched frames. To help gamers and ease their time spent on looking at a display, the G2590FX boasts FlickerFree technology to eradicate flicker and Low Blue Light mode to keep harmful short wavelength blue light filtered out.

The G2590FX is equipped with VGA, DisplayPort 1.2 and 2 x HDMI 1.4 display inputs, enabling legacy and current devices to easily connect. Just like the rest of the G90 family, the G2590FX is also certified with various green credentials, contributing to a sustainable future for our planet.

The AOC G2590FX is now available in stores at an MSRP of £219.
