Times Alights with Daktronics Spectacular

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Nov. 12, 2009 — The Society of Environmental Graphic Design's (SEGD) Dynamic Environments 3 workshop kicks off Nov. 12th in New York City thanks to workshop sponsor Daktronics.

The two-day, annual workshop for owners, architects, designers, technology integrators, and multimedia experts features speakers and panel discussions at several New York City venues. The sessions explore creative design components, technical requirements, and integration processes required to bring dynamic, interactive ideas to reality.

"Daktronics has proudly been SEGD's Dynamic Environments workshop sponsor since its inception in 2007,” said Steve Bayer, Northern Region Special Projects Manager." As the world's leading manufacturer of spectaculars, media façades, and other multimedia displays inside and outside of Times Square, the event is a natural way for us and the multimedia professionals who use our technology to come together.”

This year's event spotlights collaborative efforts that achieve innovation with new projects, such as the Daktronics-manufactured media façade at Cocor Shopping Center in Bucharest, Romania. In addition, Daktronics will host a walk of local projects in Times Square—the ultimate dynamic environment—on Friday morning.

Daktronics first made its mark in Times Square when the company installed equipment for the well-known Dow Jones Zipper display in 1986 and has been an established spectacular signage provider in the Square ever since, boasting more than 20 major installations, more than any other LED display manufacturer.

Deposits in the barrel can significantly impede the pump’s operation. Common measures such as the regular cleaning of the pump element are very time-consuming and far from ideal over the long run. L’Orange is committed to a sustainable solution to this problem.
