The Lahnau response to creative and functional ceiling requirements near the main entrance to the grandstand beside the team fan shop.

The Lahnau response to creative and functional ceiling requirements near the main entrance to the grandstand beside the team fan shop.

Acoustic Systems by Lahnau Akustik GmbH are also used for the expansion of the Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

Soccer stadiums are more than a sports venue. They are a meeting place with a magnetic attraction, home to the fan base, a temple of indulgence for VIPs, work-place of the players, officials and attendants. As diverse as the functional requirements and expectations are so too are the requirements for the materials used to build a modern arena.

Because of the creative and functional aspects, spa-cious ceiling surfaces had to be designed with large sized panels, which in the case of necessary builtins require no special designs. At Lahnau Akustik GmbH, the interior architects Waller & Kraus from Vaihingen found what they were looking for. On 2,700 m², the acoustic panel Mikropor G from expanded glass gran-ules was used. Also with the applied panel size of 1,250 x 1,250 mm, the system does not require additional bracing to the panel back sides. Hence weight, material and assembly time can all be reduced, with no adverse effects.
For sound absorption in the bar area of the VIP lounge 25 m² of visually attractive acoustic ceiling sails specifically: "Solitaire plane level G" were used. In the TSG office, the 250 m² big acoustic ceiling had been seamlessly designed from Mikropor G FWA.

Panel potentials
The application spectrum of the expanded glass panel is far from exhausted: Other surfaces in form of perforated or nonperforated High-Pressure Laminates (HPL laminates) were developed and show growing sales in high-quality interior design. Likewise, the Imagio design or the Imagio fibre glass which are especially suitable for the area of acoustic wall coverings, as they also have a skinfriendly and pleasant feel. Furthermore its application in ship's interior design is guaranteed. The Mikropor G panel was issued the EC-Type Examination Certificate 107,049 (wheel) of the See-BG, which makes the worldwide use as non-combustible panel possible.

Acoustic subareas
Solitary and subareas of the company Lahnau Akustik GmbH are allrounders. They are individually placed in the room and can be moved when reorganizing, like a piece of furniture. The demand for discretion, despite the open room concept is fulfilled due to the best absorption properties. By changing the inclination, the feature can be individually adapted.
