particular "Genesis" Statue Resin - height 93 width 135 cm. Depth 43 cm.

Roberto Piaia, the world's first creator of the form of Spiral Statues, enter the scene in the elegant and highly sought after "Il Forte Arte" Gallery. In the heart of Forte dei Marmi, the attractive location will become the scene of cultural events and interesting events dedicated to "meetings with the Artist" during the summer.

The primary objectives of the Antiques Dealer Patrizia Grigolini, co-owner with her daughter Veronica Cherubini of "Il Forte Arte", are the cultivation of art and beauty based on the search for excellence. Without a shadow of a doubt, the idea of proposing a merge between masterpieces from the past and creations of contemporary art is surely a winner, and also innovative like the works of Piaia.

The Spiral Statues:

The statues presented in the Galleria by Roberto Piaia they are created by a spiral that wraps around the figure of the body. Although formed in part by emptys, it does not betray it’s original forms, but rather using the "I see/don’t see" effect, the eye is captured by a visual effect that fills the representation of the object.

Ingenious Creations:

This is a very difficult job, attempted by many but never actually realized, characterized by a precise study of solids and voids, realized in a perfect balance of matter that does not need any support.

The Resin Statues:

One of the works is a model in resin taken from a statue carved on the statuary marble of Carrara: Genesis. The meaning of this title recalls the paths and the ways through which the first concepts came to form in the Artist's mind.
Genesis differs from the other Piaia creations because it is enriched by a typical geometric pattern: it is an inverted triangle, the various parts, perfectly balanced in weight, are projected towards the top through both vertical and horizontal lines.

Bronze Statues:

While Over Bronze is created with an original metal alloy that amalgamates Bronze to one part of Steel and Silver; the overall view creates a futuristic effect.
The suggestive vision of this work takes us in a collective imaginary desire of flying: supported by three simple steel tubes, which draw a shadow on the ground, it appears to fly in space without limits. Matter disintegrates to then reappear molded by the artist into the desired shape, pursuing the world of dreams, and the ideas enclosing the potentials that everything is possible and achievable. Piaia can enthusiastically turn all of this into reality, demonstrating it through his “Assurfivo” style which maintains its roots in the past, while projecting it into the future, thus creating works that have never been released before!

Roberto Piaia, first painter and sculptor ever to create the form of the empty spiral in Art, lives and works in Mindelheim, city in Lower Allgäu, Germany.
The Master often returns to Pietrasanta (Tuscany) to form his sculptures in precious Carrara marble and resin, as well as bronze castings in the renowned foundries of the city.
