Fairmas expands with company representation in Amsterdam

Ellen Huerst represents Berlin-based hotel software developer Fairmas in Benelux

April 27, 2018: Ellen Huerst, co-founder of PowerYourRoom, takes over the representation of Fairmas GmbH in the Benelux region with immediate effect. With this, Fairmas GmbH is taking another important step in the direction of expansion with the aim to further increase its international presence in the highly specialized niche market of the hotel industry.

Since its foundation in Berlin in 2003, Fairmas GmbH has been developing financial planning and management reporting software tailored to the needs of the hotel industry. The success of the Fairmas products FairPlanner online, Pickup Tracking and Hotel Benchmarking, which are currently used by more than 3,500 hotels worldwide, is based on the fact that the entire Fairmas management themselves come from the hotel industry.

The milestones in Ellen's professional life show that she has extensive expertise in hotel sales and marketing. Prior to moving to self-employment in 2011 as co-founder of PowerYourRoom, Ellen led TravelClick's sales activities in German-speaking Europe, developing her passion for revenue management.

According to a publication of the Germany Trade & Invest, the economic development agency of Germany in charge of foreign trade and location marketing, the Netherlands is currently experiencing a hotel boom. The number of overnight stays increased by 10% in 2017 compared to 2016, and hotel prices increased by more than 8%. At the same time, a significant growth in capacity is expected for the future. As a result of which, competitive pressure is likely to increase accordingly and the need for efficient financial planning will become a critical factor in the success of a hotel in the market.
