Alternative Service Concepts, LLC (ASC), a leading national third party administrator specializing in workers’ compensation and property & casualty claims administration, today announced that President, Glenn Backus will co-present “Collaborating for Success: Takeaways from a Team Approach to Manage Workers’ Compensation Litigation and Drive Down Costs.” This topic will take place at the RIMS 2018 Annual Conference & Exhibition in San Antonio, April 15 through the 18th. The topic will also be co-presented by Suzanne Ormond, Risk Manager for Alsco, and Steven Testan, Founder and Senior Managing Partner of Adelson, Testan, Brundo, Novell & Jimenez.

For many employers throughout the U.S., litigated claims represent one of their most significant workers’ compensation cost drivers. Throughout the discussion, Mr. Backus will add ASC’s perspective on best practices. This panel discussion will include managing litigated claims, overcoming obstacles, and achieving superior results based on their experience with numerous employers throughout the U.S. Also, they will review effective approaches being used by employers to flag claims exhibiting the potential for legal action by injured workers, and strategies to prevent them from going into litigation. This session is scheduled to take place on Monday, April 16th at 1:15 CST.

Attendees will learn best practices to manage and reduce costs of litigated workers’ comp claims, including strategies for improving the percentage of claims settled and closed. Attendees will also learn how to align internal and external workers’ compensation claim resources, including TPAs, brokers, insurers, and law firms to drive results.
