Press release from: Solea AG - solar technology

Solea AG announced today the completion of a 4 MW project near Neukirchen, part of the municipality of Teisendorf in the rural district of Berchtesgadener Land. With this project Solea AG increased its presence in the southern part of Germany.

Solea used 22,515 modules to construct a solar park on the grounds of a former bunker area of the German armed forces with a total area of 16.5 ha. The 33.000 xi park version inverters produced by Kaco Gerätetechnik GmbH are in use. 1.12 MW are constructed with a single axis mounting system and 2.82 MW are constructed with a fixed mounting system. Both mounting systems were produced by PV Eiwa Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG, the sister company of Solea AG.

The DZ Bank Nürnberg and the Raiffeisenbank im Stiftland eG Tirschenreuth provided the debt financing. The facility is owned by Solea Solarpark Teisendorf GmbH & Co.KG. The first part of the facility was connected to the grid of E.ON Bayern in July 2008.

The complete facility produces 4.3 MW hours of electricity every year. This is equal to an average electricity consumption of approximately 1,100 households of four persons each. The solar energy production avoids the emission of more than 4.300 tons of carbon dioxide.

Solea AG, located in Plattling, 150 km north-east of Munich, constructs and maintains turnkey solar parks with up to double-digit megawatt size. In addition to Germany, Solea AG is active in Spain, Italy, France, Greece and the Czech Republic (www.solea-ag.com).
