Celebrating their second year in business, this curl conscious salon will also put a philanthropic twist on the anniversary by raising money for The Girlchild Network in Zimbabwe – all well sipping on wine, tasting treats and indulging in African beats. “The Stephan Lewis Foundation is very close to my heart, and I wanted to make a contribution to support this very important cause,” says Patience Chodokufa, owner and curly hair expert of Chiggy’s Touch Salon, “ We are proud to contribute 100% of gift certificates sold during the day to the organization. This is an excellent opportunity to help raise awareness and funds for the Network, and our two year anniversary is the perfect platform.” The salon has become famous for their dry cutting hair techniques and professional styling of curly hair of all ethnicities. About The Stephen Lewis Foundation: The Stephen Lewis Foundation was created in 2003, to address the over whelming generosity for those who wanted to join the effort in addressing the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. With funding in four areas, the foundation aims at providing care at the community level to women who are struggling to survive, to assist orphans and other AIDS-affected children, to support the grandmothers who care for ill children and finally to lend support to other associations of people living with HIV/AIDS in the country.
