Connecting GSM gateways via E1 / T1 |
| Pressemitteilung von: Vierling Communications GmbH |
| (openPR) - Vierling releases new Ecotel PRI connect packages consisting of GSM gateways and PRI-IP routers Ebermannstadt, Germany – February 2009. Vierling today presented the new Ecotel PRI connect packages, each of which consists of an Ecotel GSM gateway and a PRI-IP router. Medium and large companies can now connect cost-effective GSM gateway solutions with four or more GSM channels into their E1 / T1 lines with little expense. This significantly decreases the cost of making calls to mobile radio networks. The Ecotel PRI connect packages use compact Ecotel GSM gateways of type Ecotel VoIP-1xSB and multichannel GSM gateways of type Ecotel VTM pro. The PRI-IP router is specially preconfigured for use with Vierling Ecotel GSM gateways. These new product bundles are available from specialized dealers effective immediately. PRI-IP router as intelligent connection point "Companies can transparently insert the PRI-IP router into the E1 / T1 trunk line of the PBX and connect it with one or two GSM gateways via VoIP", according to Erich Friedrich, who is in charge of this product at Vierling. "The router serves as an intelligent connection point for the gateways by automatically filtering all outgoing mobile radio calls from the E1 / T1 line and routing them to the GSM gateway." The gateway then uses its integrated mobile radio modules and installed SIM cards to make cost-effective calls to the mobile radio networks. This results in cost savings of up to 70 percent along with amortization times of less than six months. In the opposite direction, incoming calls arrive via the GSM gateway to the PBX via the PRI-IP router. Efficient solution with no PBX configuration required "The Ecotel PRI connect packages have clear benefits", according to Friedrich. "For example, our customers don't need to specially configure the routing settings in their PBXs since the PRI-IP router filters out calls to mobile radio networks on its own. Moreover, customers can now connect cost-effective four- and eight-channel GSM gateways of type Ecotel VoIP-1xSB into their E1 / T1 lines." Vierling offers Ecotel PRI connect packages with 4 to 32 channels. In the packages with 4 to 16 channels, compact GSM gateways of type Ecotel VoIP-1xSB are used. For more channels, an Ecotel VTM pro multichannel gateway is used in a 19" rack housing. Ecotel VTM pro gateways are now equipped with all of the relevant features for corporate applications, including voice announcements, callback and adaptive rerouting. High-performance PRI-IP routers The PRI-IP router used in the Ecotel PRI connect packages is built by the Swiss manufacturer Patton-Inalp Networks. A special version of the router is used which Vierling has optimized for deployment in combination with the Ecotel GSM gateways. "We chose Patton because we only want to combine our gateways with an absolutely reliable product that delivers top performance", added Friedrich. "All of the deployed systems must ensure perfect reliability on critical main lines carrying up to 30 voice channels. Accordingly, we include specialized training with our Ecotel PRI connect packages. The aim is to provide the end customer with maximum service quality."
