(openPR) - Guadalajara (Mexico)/Karlsruhe (Germany) - The „Universidad del Valle de Atemajac“ (UNIVA) is the first private university in Latin America which enables its students to acquire IT knowledge in practice in the area of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The ABAS Software AG has sponsored the university with their ERP Software for this purpose. The young and internationally oriented Mexican university and the globally operating abas Business Software are matching each other’s needs perfectly.

Successful Implementation
UNIVA, located in Guadalajara, the second largest city of Mexico, has committed to an internationally oriented study course. Now the students of the faculty of business studies not only learn in practice about the ERP system processes in a company, they can also use an international operating ERP-Software. This knowledge in practice also helps the students in their search for future employment.
Advantages of the ABAS Software AG: it presents the abas Business Software to future possible customers from the whole of Mexico and at the same time collects new ideas for further development of the ERP Software through feedback from students. The abas Business Software was initially implemented in the currently running semester (September – December 2008) in the faculty of business studies in UNIVA.
