Kule Ingozi´s expressive cycle "Blood Simulacra" shows an enormous intenseness telling tales of his incisive experiences and life in africa. With just a few strokes with a brush and blurring colour gradients he creates an astonishing closeness.
The authenticity of his work is ever present not only because he uses materials like his own blood or soil from his home in africa but also as he seems to let elements of his biography to be reflected in his work. These materials have an immane impact on the viewer and are much more insistent than regular colours could ever be. Liquid resin leaves open spaces which make the figures permeable in their substance and strangely palpable giving the impression of psychograms. Kule Ingozi´s drawings and paintings are able to create great affection in our inner soul.
