To coincide with the launch of the CeBIT, www.young-germany.de/ the German Foreign Office’s website for “high potentials is launching a CeBIT special, which reflects the renewed optimism in the IT and telecommunications industry. Users will find daily news on hot new products, pictures and comments, articles on jobs in the IT industry, as well as a portrait featuring young IT professionals in Munich. The CeBIT updates will run until the end of the trade fair on March 15. Furthermore, Young Germany now has an interactive opportunity for foreigners to brush up their German knowledge and practice mastering every day situations, such as a visit to the bank or a doctor Also, Young Germany is expanding its service portfolio with the launch of an event calendar, covering a wide rage of happenings throughout Germany. In the year 2006 Young Germany welcomes the following platforms and organizations as its partner: Expatica, the network for expats living in Germany, that cooperates with YG on its monthly event calendar. ( www.expatica.com/ ) Distributed Campus, the multimedial coaching platform for foreigners studying at the Freie Universität Berlin, now functions as a partner for the “Learn German” language exercises. www.distributed-campus.org/ The Voyage – The German-British youth portal that provides an editorial partnership and is a joint project by the German Foreign Office/German Embassy London, the British Council, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London, and the Goethe Institut in London.
