The sun-like true nature of our mind is obscured by the cloud-like mental impurities. When we clear away these clouds of defilements, the sunshine of Bodhi pervades the space-like expanse of our sphere of experience. Various techniques of meditation are found in Buddhist teachings towards this goal. We will explore these different methods of meditation, ranging from the most common meditation on breathing, to the highest meditation of the union of compassion and wisdom.

DHARMA SUBHASHITA (Thubten Lekshey Ling) www.dharmasubhashita.org is an Indo-Tibetan Buddhist Meditation & Study Center in Bangalore founded under the spiritual guidance of His Holiness Penor Rinpoche. We conduct meditation classes and spiritual discourses. We also participate in His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama’s vision of revitalizing the rich intellectual tradition of the ancient Nalanda University through our programs on building awareness in philosophy with a non-sectarian view. Regular classes at the center in Bangalore are taught by experienced teachers from Namdroling, the reputed Buddhist Monastic Institution at Bylakkuppe, Karnataka. Occasionally, we also have special teaching programs by Buddhist masters across traditions. Dharma Subhashita follows the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism as the spiritual practice lineage and upholds the non-sectarian values of the Ri-me’ movement.
