Hartpury brings chocolate making to Gloucestershire |
| Pressemitteilung von: Hartpury College |
| (openPR) - Hartpury College is delighted to announce the launch of their third and final CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) funded Food and Drink venture based at Campden & Chorleywood Food Research Association (CCFRA) in Chipping Campden; offering the opportunity to create and coat all things chocolate! Following the successful launch of a butchery training centre in partnership with Ensors and a farmhouse cheesemaking training facility based at Melissa Ravenhill’s Cheesemakers in Minchinhampton, Hartpury has invested the remaining CoVE funding in a clever little machine that tempers and then enrobes (coats) all sorts of products in chocolate. The machine will enable local businesses to trial any chocolate-based product development ideas on a small scale whilst also receiving advice and guidance from the experts based at Chorleywood. The one day courses, running from September, will focus on the basics of working with chocolate and encompass the use of the chocolate tempering and enrobing in the process. Chocolate making novices will also have the opportunity to bring along their own delicious products to enrobe and explore ideas for new products to help develop their chocolate ventures – however large or small their ambitions may be. Hartpury is also able to offer access to the wider range of courses that are run at the CCFRA at preferential rates and arrange product development time for local entrepreneurs in the fully equipped and impressive pilot plant based at the Chipping Campden site with optional support from their team of food and drink research specialists. Speaking on the new facility, Director of Learning, Sarah Hanson, said: “We are delighted to be working in collaboration with the CCFRA and bring chocolate making to the County and beyond. The first course, on 18th September, explores chocolate technology and enrobing and will provide a fascinating insight into the manufacturing of chocolate products, appealing to the keen amateur chocolate maker as well as the local entrepreneur, looking to develop new products or enhance their current range.” For further information about Hartpury’s range of short courses, visit the Hartpury website.
