3D-Micromac at Intersolar 2008 in Munich, Germany

Pressemitteilung von: 3D-Micromac AG
(openPR) - Innovative Laser Micromachining for production of photovoltaic systems

In the last years laser technologies not only confirmed their outstanding role for micro-machining but expanded it impressively. With enhancements in the areas of shorter pulses and shorter wavelengths, there are growing possibilities to generate micro structures in all manufacturing sectors.

3D-Micromac AG shows new and interesting applications in laser micromachining – especially in the area of photovoltaic applications at Intersolar 2008, taking place from 12th - 14th June 2008, in Munich, Germany. The new roll-to-roll laser machining for ablation of thin films on top of flexible substrates will be presented. A special feature of the 3D-Micromac roll-to-roll technology is the laser processing of substrates on the fly. That means a continuous winding process for reaching of a very high throughput. Even layers with different kinds of properties like polymer based solar cells, sensors, actuators, and electronic components can be processed.

Additionally an efficient and at the same time highly precise laser workstation for generation of micro holes for back-side contacting of emitter wrap-through (EWT) solar cells will be presented.

3D-Micromac will exhibit together with Lumera Laser GmbH at Intersolar in Hall B.6 Booth 487. A selection of activities of 3D-Micromac in the field of applied laser technology for photovoltaic processing will be introduced by a presentation „Laser machining of thin film solar cells with short pulse lasers“ at the Innovation Exchange on Thursday, 12th of June 2008, 9.45 am.
