Standard 3.5’’ SATA / SATA II hard disks can be connected directly via the RJ45 slot in the external hard disk casing for quick Ethernet 10/100 Mbps or USB 2.0 in the network. DIGITUS® gives the user the ideal, low-cost and mobile "stand alone" solution for storing, exchanging and memorising data in the entire network company network and the private user without effort.
The housing consists of polished and black and rubber coated aluminium. The fan integrated into the housing provides sufficient cooling for the hard disk. Operation, connection and data transfer are shown by LEDs on the device.
The easy to install company wear is set up via a web interface and offers the comfortable SAMBA and FTP servers. No other drivers are necessary because of the hot – pluggable, hot - swappable and Plug and Play facilities. The operating systems Windows 98SE / 2000 / ME / XP / Vista and MAC OS X are supported.
Available protocols are TCP/IP (Net BIOS Name Server), Microsoft Networks (CIFS/SMB), HTTP1.0 and HTML2.0, DHCP Server / Client (automatic recognition), SNTP Client and Telnet Server.
